"The Russian composers who emigrated" Online conference presented by Andrey Shevchuk

100th anniversary of the “Russian Exodus”

Maestro Andrey Shevchuk, conductor and choirmaster, will tell you about the fate of Russian composers who left Russia after the revolution. The most famous among them are Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Glazunov, Liapunov and Gretchaninov. You will hear not only about the famous passages of their lives, but also about the less known pages of their history. Andrey Shevchuk will also tell you about the complexity of their artistic lives "abroad", and about their participation in the creation of a new intercultural space following the traditions of their predecessors. You will discover their numerous compositions, in which the Russian soul is still alive.
