Club en ligne des jeunes "Dialogue de Bruxelles". 75 ans après la Seconde Guerre mondiale: histoire vraie vs interprétation
The Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Brussels together with the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund held an online discussion with a Russian political scientist, doctor of historical sciences, professor of the Faculty of Global Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University Alexander Sagomonyan. The topic that was extremely relevant today was discussed: "75 years after the Second World War: true history vs. interpretation".
Welcoming the audience, the head of the Russian Centre Vera Bunina, reminded that the RCSC organized a platform called “Brussels Dialogue”. This is an international youth dialogue platform. The first large forum, which brought together more than 300 participants, was a great success in the fall of 2019. Now its development continues in online format.
Alexander Sagomonyan began his speech by congratulating the participants on the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and wished us all not to know any more wars. He then spoke about the key issues that cause diverging views on events that occurred before, during and after World War II, and gave his assessment of the current state of affairs. The professor also answered questions from the audience, which also turned out to be very relevant.
